Hallmark+’s First-Ever Holiday Series ‘Holidazed’ Is Bland but Comforting: TV Review

Aramide Tinubu After years of delivering whimsical holiday movies, Hallmark Channel is presenting its first-ever holiday series, “Holidazed,” on its new streaming service, Hallmark+.

Set in a small town, the eight-episode show (critics were given the first four for review) follows a diverse group of six families living around the same cul-de-sac, called Oakslane.

The Black, Asian and LGBTQ representation here is a relatively new push for the network, which in the past has been heavily criticized for overwhelmingly depicting white, heterosexual characters.

Though the Hills, the Woods, the Lins, the Manetti-Hanahans, the Lewins and the Camarenas all have distinct plans for the most magical time of year, when it comes to family and matters of the heart, things rarely go smoothly.
