Guns ‘N’ Roses, Tool, Jason Momoa and Rival Sons have been added to the bill at Black Sabbath‘s final reunion gig.They join already announced star-studded opening acts and special guests, including the likes of Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, recent Grammy-winners Gojira and more.
Guns ‘N’ Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan were also on the original bill but now they will instead play in the full band line-up.As well as playing live, former Rage Against The Machine member Tom Morello will also serve as musical director of the show.
It will be hosted and compered by Momoa.The iconic heavy metal band will return for one last concert at Villa Park in their hometown of Birmingham on Saturday July 5.
The upcoming show will see the group’s most iconic line-up – comprising frontman Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward – play live together for the first time in two decades.All profits from Sabbath’s final performance will go to charity Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice – a children’s hospice supported by Aston Villa.Speaking to NME alongside Iommi at Villa Park recently, Sharon Osbourne explained that her husband Ozzy was currently doing “really great” and feeling “very emotional” about the final-ever Sabbath date. “It’s what he wants,” she said.“He wants to say thank you to everybody.
