A gunman is on the run after blasting a young victim in the head. The victim is in a stable condition following the shooting in north Manchester earlier this week.
Officers were scrambled to Ermington Drive in Cheetham Hill just before midnight on Wednesday (June 21). It followed reports of shots being fired.

He is in a serious but stable condition with his family at his side, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said in an update issued on Saturday (June 24).
