Greenbelt protectors bring in banners to try to prevent hotel expansion

Perth are stepping up their campaign. ‘Save Murrayshall Greenbelt’ banners have been commissioned and politicians of all political hues are being lobbied by local residents.Murrayshall Country House Hotel and Golf Course – owned by Stellar Asset Management - wants to create 50 new bedrooms, a spa and leisure facility, golf academy, 40 lodges, glamping pods and hillside tree houses.

But residents in and around Scone fear the countryside is under threat from controversial proposals for 50-plus up-market homes on the estate.

Dozens of objections have already been received by Perth and Kinross planners, with the deadline for responses looming on Friday.
