The Chester Station Hotel dates back to 1880 and boasts 75 en-suite rooms alongside a restaurant, bar and several lounge areas.

It even has a meeting room that’s said to be big enough to hold a small wedding reception, reports CheshireLive. The building was erected by the London & North Western Railway to replace the former Royal Hotel.

The new Station Hotel was formerly opened by the Prince of Wales in June 1880. A large clock commemorating the royal visit was placed in the station circulating area facing the sea and has since been positioned at the front of the building.
