Drivers who have forked out £1,250 to park next to their city centre homes have now been hit by a ‘massive’ £1,000 price hike.
Residents living in the Novella building, on the New Bailey estate in Salford, claim that they ‘were sold’ their flats on the premise of having a half-price ‘residents’ permit’ to park in the NCP car park next door.
But now some say the huge hike in the annual cost to park their cars mean they are having to think of selling their vehicles.
And this comes despite some claiming that their cars have been broken into - with one resident alleging they were told all but two of the CCTV cameras in the multi-storey car park were 'fake'.
