A small housing estate in a leafy Stockport village has been in the shadow of an ‘eyesore’ for more than 10 years - and fed up residents have had enough.
People on The Coppice estate, which runs along Eastwood Drive in Marple, have to endure frequent visits from emergency services who are constantly having to clean up the mess left by youths and drug users.
Residents have even spotted primary school-aged children entering the dangerous derelict site at the former office block. The site, which was home to business Call 24/7, was abandoned back in 2010.
It is now boarded up with shards of shattered glass and the charred interior visible in some of the buildings.
