A gran who charges her family for attending Christmas dinner every year has been forced to hike up her prices due to the cost of living crisis.Caroline Duddridge, from Wales, hit the papers last year after revealing that she charged her children, grandchildren and even her great-grandchildren a small fee for attending Christmas dinner.
Despite being slated by trolls, the 63-year-old has confirmed she will be doing the same again this year, reports the BBC. When speaking to Wales Online last year, the gran said: "I've got to be clear.
I'm not out to make a profit. It's a contribution; I'm not getting one up on my children. "It sounds, on the face of it, like 'oh my god, how could she do that?' But it started when my husband died just before Christmas 2015.
My income was halved and I lost my job, so I said to my kids that they'd have to contribute to all the food."In 2022 Caroline charged her two sons and her son-in-law £15 each as they worked full-time.She charged her daughters £10 each as they work part-time.
