The chef spoke to Town & Country recently about the items people should be avoiding at popular restaurants, reports the Express.Gordon explained many restaurant kitchens tend to reuse older produce in their dishes and make them new meals, in order to save money and reduce waste.
And this is the reason why you should never order the 'soup of the day' from a restaurant, as they will most likely use older food to make it to get rid of aging produce.In an interview with Town & Country, Ramsay explained: "Ask what yesterday’s soup du jour was before today’s special.
It may be the case that it’s the soup du month."The chef was also asked for some top tips for ordering at a new restaurant, to which he gladly obliged.
