A new recipe for roast potatoes has hit the scene, as celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay shares his twist on the dish with some added spices.
On his YouTube channel, Gordon has shared some of his best Christmas dishes, with recipes for Brussel sprouts, stuffing and even a starter soup.
But what we're most interested in is his roast potatoes, which come with an added kick of chilli and turmeric. Gordon began by peeling the potatoes, and noting that he wouldn't be cooking them in goose fat, but choosing to 'lightly spice' them instead.Gordon's mum Helen got to quartering up the potatoes, and then put them in some cold, salted water.
They were then brought up to the boil, and simmered for around eight minutes.Gordon then drained the potatoes off and allowed them to steam in the pot, adding some salt and pepper to season, before lumping a teaspoon of chilli flakes in the mix.He then added in a teaspoon of turmeric, and then some olive oil, in order to allow the spices to coat the potatoes evenly.Gordon then placed the potatoes on a baking tray with a little extra olive oil, and cooked them at 200C for around 40 minutes.
