Susanna Reid was on the verge of tears as she hailed Deborah James as "inspirational" following the BBC podcast host's emotional goodbye post.
In a heartbreaking post shared on her Instagram on Monday evening, 40 year old Deborah, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer five years earlier, revealed that her "body isn't playing ball" and that she'd been moved to hospice care at home.
And on Tuesday's instalment of Good Morning Britain, presenter Charlotte Hawkins said: "Deborah has been massively inspirational in raising the profile of bowel cancer." And when Charlotte touched on the funds that had been raised, which is now over a £1million, Susanna revealed that she was one of the people who had donated too.
Susanna stated: "As you say, hugely inspirational and hugely influential because raising that amount of money will have an extremely positive effect. "Absolutely terrific the impact she is having, and we send our love to you," she added while appearing to hold back tears.
