Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley eats the same food every day after being rocked by a trio of family tragedies. Richard admits he is "conscious" about his health after his grandfather, father and uncle died from heart attacks.
Speaking to Dr Hilary on his podcast, he revealed his blood pressure is "very good" and cholesterol level is "low". But to make sure it remains that way, he said: "I take a little supermarket-bought statin everyday, a little yoghurt, which does help lower cholesterol [and] I have regular health checks. "I'm very lucky in that generally I've always been in very good health.
I think what gave my grandfather, uncle and father their heart attacks, and the one that killed my father, as I said they were heavy smokers. "My dad, at one stage, was on two packs a day and he died at 49." The broadcaster revealed that he walks 10,000 steps a day and watches what he consumes.
Describing himself as "an inveterate walker", he shared: "I'm active around the house, my kids say I'm very annoying because I never really sit down.
