Good Morning Britain presenter, Kate Garraway, interrupted her co-host Adil Ray during Thursday's episode of the popular breakfast show.
Adil and his co-presenter were explaining to viewers that today's edition would not delve into politics as polling stations across the country were open for people to cast their votes in the General Election.
In light of broadcasting rules, the pair informed audiences they would instead be providing useful details relating to voting and new instructions pertaining to voter identification.
Adil added: "By the way if you have just tuned in and you are wondering why we are not talking about the election. We are restricted because of the Ofcom broadcasting guidelines.
