The ITV host had been walking with her pal's eight-year-old when two huge canines started jumping up from the other side of a fence.
Charlotte tried to reassure the youngster she was safe and the dogs couldn't get to her. But the 48-year-old was left shocked and scared herself when one of the two animals ripped through the fence without warning, knocking the girl to the ground and biting her.
Helpless Charlotte was carrying her baby in a sling and was unable to fight off the animal.Thankfully, the wee one recovered from the attack in hospital, but Charlotte has said the moment changed her view on just how at risk people are from dangerous dogs as she launches an ITV investigation into the issue.“The experience shook me deeply.
