Health officials are concerned that a measles pandemic could take place because children are not being vaccinated during coronavirus lockdown.
In Britain, experts are worried that many parents have stopped taking their children for routine jabs such as MMR out of fear of exposing them to the virus.
Surgeries were sent a memo from Public Health England last month urging them to "keep calm and carry on vaccinating", the Daily Mail reports.
The note said: "Providing baby and parents are well and not displaying symptoms of Covid-19 or other infections, routine childhood immunisations should proceed."
