Glen Powell Got 'Full Blessing' From Arnold Schwarzenegger for 'The Running Man' Remake

Glen Powell is stepping out to promote his new movie! The 37-year-old actor was on hand at CinemaCon 2025 to debut the first footage of his new movie The Running Man on Thursday (April 3) held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Joining Glen on stage at the presentation were his co-stars Colman Domingo and Josh Brolin along with director Edgar Wright.

In a new interview, Glen revealed that he and Edgar reached out to Arnold Schwarzenegger about remaking the 1987 movie, which the 77-year-old Terminator actor originally starred in. Keep reading to find out more…“Arnold gave us his blessing,” Glen told People. “[His son] Patrick Schwarzenegger is a great friend of mine and I asked Patrick if I could talk to Arnold and I hadn’t seen Arnold since we shot Expendables in Bulgaria.” He added, “Arnold gave us his full blessing and we get to give Arnold a very specific fun gift from the movie in a couple of weeks here.

So I’m very excited to see him.” Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, the movie follows Ben Richards, a struggling man who participates in a reality show called The Running Man to win enough money to save his sick daughter.
