South Ayrshire countryside has been given the green light.Nick Wise applied for planning permission to erect three glamping pods outside Straiton in a garden and paddock area beside Bennan Farm.There were 16 objections against the bid for the holiday destination on the edge of the beautiful Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park.Seven people supported the visitor accommodation, which will also lie on the periphery of the special Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere.Councillors on the council's regulatory panel planning committee gave permission for the venture on Thursday.Councillor Ian Cavana, Labour, said: “It was approved as we are trying to boost tourism in the area.
