Midtjylland are looking to add more firepower in their bid to play in European competition next season but have to rise above their current seventh position in the Danish Superliga.
The Danes have a number of striking options and a budget of around £5million to spend. GIakoumakis is on their list of targets after his goal return in recent seasons with Celtic and VVV Venlo. Record Sport broke the story last month that talks with Celtic over a new deal had broken down and Giakoumakis had been left unsettled.
The striker, who has 25 goals in 55 appearances for the Hoops, isn’t on half of what the top earners take home at Celtic Park and is looking for top dollar from his next deal.
