Celtic have reportedly submitted an "improved" bid for Suwon striker Oh Hyeon-gyu as they ramp up their search for a new striker.
The Scottish Premiership side have shown an interest in the South Korean market this month with Cho Gue-sung emerging on Ange Postecoglou's radar, but a deal for South Korea's World Cup hero appears to have fallen apart with the frontman opting to stay at Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors this month.
Hyeon-gyu has previously claimed that he was keen on a move to Celtic but the player's club were standing firm over keeping their talisman at the club in January.
However, a report in Korea now suggests Celtic have not given up hope of landing Hyeon-gyu, with Giorgos Giakoumakis likely to leave this month as Urawa Red Diamonds push ahead with a deal this month amid stalled Parkhead contract talks.
