Germany's Kim Raisner has been thrown out of the competition for the 'unbelievable' act. The coach was assisting competitor Annika Schleu as she battled to control her horse Saint Boy in the showjumping round of the women’s modern pentathlon event on Friday.

The multi-round event, which was won by Team GB athlete Kate French, was devised by Baron Pierre De Coubertin, the founder of the modern Games.
