A large part of Gatwick Airport has been evacuated this morning amid a major 'security incident'. Passengers have been told to leave the South Terminal at the London airport while the incident is ongoing, the Mirror reports.
Airport bosses said the security incident was being investigated. A post on the London Gatwick X account said: "A large part of the South Terminal has been evacuated as a precaution while we continue to investigate a security incident.

We are working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible." Gatwick Express trains are also not currently calling at Gatwick Airport. "Gatwick Airport will not be served until further notice," the service said on Twitter. "This is due to the police and emergency services dealing with an incident at the airport.
