Gary Neville believes football would be presented with a "doomsday scenario" if the Premier League season is ended without the final few games getting played.
There are eight rounds of fixtures left in the campaign but the league is currently suspended until at least April 30 because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Liverpool are currently 25 points clear of second placed Manchester City in the title race and look set to lift the trophy but the Reds have not mathematically won it yet.
There are also a number of European and relegation spots up for grabs and the table could end up drastically different when the remaining games have been played.
