Gary Neville refused to criticise Marcus Rashford too heavily but believes the Manchester United forward made a 'mistake' going out after the 3-0 defeat by Manchester City last weekend.

Rashford was spotted in a city centre nightclub on Sunday evening celebrating his 26th birthday, following a humbling derby-day defeat at Old Trafford.

The United forward has come under scrutiny for the decision to go out after such a disappointing performance and result. Erik ten Hag said on Friday that his actions were 'unacceptable' and that an apology has been made.

And while Neville agrees that it wasn't the correct decision, the former Reds captain was careful not to be too harsh.
