Gabrielle Union has opened up about having a ‘calvary’ of support to balance out the hate she receives after her step-daughter came out as transgender.
The actress and her husband Dwyane Wade have been praised for their loving reaction after Zaya – previously Zion – revealed she did not identify as a male.
Speaking about the overwhelming reaction to the news, she told Variety: ‘With all of the love comes the hate too. It’s watching the love handle the hate that has been encouraging.
