A crash between a tram and bus has caused rush hour chaos in the Manchester city centre. Emergency services have flooded to Piccadilly Gardens in response to the ongoing incident.
According to the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, specialist equipment is being used to rescue someone from the bus.
Road closures are in place and Metrolink services between Victoria and Piccadilly Gardens have been suspended following the smash.
An air ambulance has landed on the grass area of the main city centre square after a bus and tram appear to have collided. The crash occurred outside Betfred and Primark at the top of Mosley Street.
