The Environment Agency has now issued nine flood warnings and seperate flood alerts, including in Manchester city centre, with residents in some areas told to 'act now'.
It comes after the Met Office issued a yellow weather alert for heavy rain across the region on Monday (September 30), warning of possible flooding to roads, homes and businesses, with delays also expected to hit public transport services.
