Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Neil Lennon 's post-match comments are anything to go by, it's fair to say David Turnbull's match winning performance impressed his manager last night but the Irishman wasn't the only one casting admiring glances.

The watching French media were also impressed with popular outlet RMC Sport declaring the summer signing man of the match and awarding an eight out of 10 rating in their notoriously tough man-by-mans.

The 21-year-old scored the winner against Lille to secure Celtic 's only Europa League victory of the season with a precise finish into the corner of the net after 74 minutes.

It was exactly the type of moment Lennon would have been hoping the kid would produce after making a habit of ghosting into space for Motherwell over the years.
