For almost all his adult life, cricket legend Freddie Flintoff has hidden a devastating illness. The 42-year-old Top Gear presenter is suffering from bulimia, a condition triggered when he first broke into the England team when he was just 20.
Freddie, whose real name is Andrew, is now determined to remove the stigma surround men's eating disorders and explore his own illness in the powerful BBC documentary, Freddie Flintoff: Living With Bulimia.
The father-of-four, who has been married to wife Rachael since 2005, says it was the comments in the press following his early appearances for England that left his constantly thinking about his weight.
