Frank Lampard has offered advice to former England teammate Wayne Rooney over managing struggling Derby County. Rooney is currently part of a caretaker management team at Derby alongside Liam Rosenior, Shay Given and Justin Walker after manager Phillip Cocu left the club on 14 November.
But Rooney has been unable to inspire a turnaround, with three successive defeats since Cocu’s departure leaving the Rams bottom of the Championship.
Derby were hammered 3-0 by Middlesbrough on Wednesday, leaving the club with just one win - and just five goals scored - in 13 league games so far this season.
