Former Wetherspoons set for 'outdoor rooftop dining' makeover in Oldham

Oldham Council outlined the full changes new owners hope to make to breathe life back into the former pub. It stated the new rooftop area would "provide customers with pleasant view from the top looking at the skyline and enjoying the food with a modern new eating experience".The restaurant is set to open seven days a week - from 11am-11pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am-9pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.A new reception and an updated kitchen would also be added to the unit, with the restaurant capable of seating 196 people on the ground floor, and 128 in the new enclosed terrace.J D Wetherspoon sold the site, at 55-57 Yorkshire Street, for £435,000 in November 2017.Keep up to date with the top stories on life in and around Oldham with the new.
