A former NHS board chair was given the lowest possible score in his appraisal by the SNP Government before quitting his post.
Ex- NHS Lothian boss Brian Houston, who has been embroiled in a bitter dispute with Health Secretary Jeane Freeman, was told his performance “needs development”.
However, Houston hit back by claiming the review was the first to be carried out in seven years and the one off exercise was not “valid”.Labour MSP Neil Findlay said: "There are very serious questions to be answered about the resignation of Mr Houston.
