Former Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has said he “made the right decision” in leaving Old Trafford last year. It’s 12 months since the Argentine brought his time at United to an end, having become a peripheral figure during his final couple of years at the club.
Rojo’s last senior game for United came in December 2019, with the defender heading out on loan to his boyhood club Estudiantes a month later but playing just one match for the remainder of the season.
His time at United eventually came to an end in February 2020 when a fee was agreed for him to return to his home country and join Boca Juniors.
Since then, Rojo has managed to overcome many of the injury problems that plagued him during his time in England to become a regular for the Argentine giants.
