With winter just around the corner now, the coronavirus will soon be joined by another virus - influenza. The UK government has revealed plans to provide flu vaccines for more than 30 million people during this flu season – millions more than received it last year.
Now, a study by researchers from the Cleveland Clinic has reassured that receiving the flu vaccine does not increase your risk for contracting Covid-19.
In the study, the team analysed more than 13,000 patients tested for Covid-19 between March and April this year. Their analysis revealed that 4,138 patients had been vaccinated against influenza last year, while 9,082 had not.
