Councillors are set to decide this week whether three-storey block containing 36 flats can be built at the site of a former martial arts centre.
Applicants Built Developments plan to build a block of one and two-bed flats at the former Gouldings Martial Arts UK Centre of Excellence on St Germain Street in Farnworth.
Gouldings Martial Arts has now relocated to nearby King Street. The site is almost directly opposite to Queensbridge Primary School and nursery.
A design and access report, in support of the plans, said: “This planning application is to utilise the plots of land and create and apartment block with 36 units. “There will be 27 one-bed units and nine two-bed.
