The weekly figures, released by the National Records for Scotland (NRS), account for all deaths where coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate and are separate to the hospital deaths announced daily by the Scottish Government every day.
NRS figures also include all suspected and probable cases of the virus. In the week, September 7 to September 13, there were five deaths where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
