Everybody knows the feeling of being completely exhausted. Feeling tired sometimes is normal - but extreme tiredness could be a sign that something is wrong.
According to the NHS, there are five medical conditions that can cause tiredness and fatigue that people should be aware of.
If you feel tired all of the time and you do not know what the cause is, it could be a good idea to talk to your GP. There may be a simple explanation for your tiredness.
If you're not getting enough sleep, suffering from insomnia or feeling stressed or depressed, you could find yourself more fatigued than usual. Other things that may cause tiredness include having an unhealthy lifestyle or not getting enough exercise, hormonal changes, such as puberty, pregnancy or menopause, or taking certain medications that cause drowsiness.
