A man who died after being struck by a vehicle in Edinburgh been named locally as Stephen McGovern.Emergency services were called to the Broomhouse area of the capital after a pedestrian was struck by a motor at 7am on July 4.
Medics tragically pronounced a 21-year-old man dead at the scene a short time later.Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.Friends of the young man have taken to social media to post tributes, calling him a "funny lad" and a "good friend".One friend said online: "Can't believe I'm writing this right now, my heart is absolutely shattered right now, I only saw you two days ago.
