The Friends reunion special is reportedly the latest casualty of Hollywood being shut down by the coronavirus. Filming on the highly anticipated show has been delayed until May, according to US outlet Deadline.
However, producers are still aiming for the special to be ready for the launch of the HBO Max streaming service, set to arrive on an unspecified date in May.
HBO Max declined to comment. Friends would be the latest in a long line of shows to be disrupted as Hollywood grapples with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Major series to have paused production include Netflix’s Stranger Things, Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show – which also stars Friends’ Jennifer Aniston – and sketch show Saturday Night Live.
