The 53-year-old actor, who played Ross, said that he pushed for his character to date women of color during the show. “I just thought, I really felt like Ross should date other people, women of all races,” David shared with Entertainment Tonight. “It felt wrong that there was not enough representation on the show.” On Friends, Ross dated two women of color – Julie, played by Lauren Tom, and Charlie, played by Aisha Tyler.
