Manchester City and Manchester United could to be impacted if radical new plans outlined by FIFA are passed regarding outgoing loan transfers.
Under current regulations, City have nine players away from the Etihad Stadium, while 12 players from neighbours United are enjoying temporary spells across Europe on similar terms.
Some of those would, though, come under an exemption term. However, there could be a significant change in that approach moving forward.
That's because governing body FIFA want to restrict clubs to six loan exits per season. According to a report in The Mirror, there is a particular issue between Chelsea - who have 11 players out on loan - and the Premier League in that regard.
