Former This Morning presenter Fern Britton has let fans know she's okay - after they feared she'd died from coronavirus. The 62 year old took to social media after some fans misread a news alert and believed she'd died.

They saw the words "First Briton" and misread it as the presenter's name. The news alert was the announcement that the first Briton had died of coronavirus after becoming infected on a cruise ship.

Fern replied to concerned fans with a string of heart emojis to let them know she was fine. She's been very vocal about how best to tackle the virus from the start, including urging the BBC and ITV to cover how to correctly wash your hands to prevent its spread.
