The sister of a Scots teenager who was swept away in a river has begged for volunteer searchers to help “bring our boy home”.
Liam Buchan has yet to be found after getting into difficulty in the River Esk near Edzell, Angus, shortly before 5pm on Saturday.A major multi-agency rescue mission has been ongoing ever since involving Police Scotland, HM Coastguard, Tayside Mountain Rescue and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
But the 15-year-old’s devastated family have now organised their own search of the riverbank and are pleading for members of the public to help.Sister Leah Buchan wrote on Facebook: “As most of you may know, recently my baby brother got into a tragic accident in the water at the Blue Door Walk in Edzell.
This is the most overwhelming and painful news ever to have received but we are still continuing to search for him as all we want to do is bring our boy home.We are looking for anyone and everyone that is willing to come along and help us out to look for Liam.
