Do you agree with Oliver Rowland? Let us know in the comments section. Rowland turned to helping motorsport's next generation in 2016 when he realised his dream of making F1 was probably going to fall short.

He competed alongside current F1 stars in the GP2 and F2 series, before getting an opportunity in Formula E, where he is now one of the most experienced British drivers on the grid, driving for the Mahindra team. But he knows he was lucky to get the breaks that he did - and that is why he wants to provide the platform for other talented youngsters with his Oliver Rowland Motorsport team, which now boasts British and European champions."The problem is that the money is very top heavy in the sport," he said. "Unfortunately, to get into karting now, it is very expensive for the average person, so it is almost impossible.

Within our team, we do help if the drivers show they are really keen, really want it and obviously shows a talent. There are opportunities where we can help to the next level."Over the last three or four years, I have taken kids who are probably unable to complete the eight to twelve age level to going all the way to Europe and F4.

That is something that I want to give back, because I was in the same situation as them."Rowland returns to the track himself this weekend in Formula E's Berlin E-Prix.
