Former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alex Song has hit out at former club FC Sion after he was one of nine players sacked by the club for refusing to take a pay cut during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
Song, along with fellow ex-Gunner Johan Djourou, former Fulham midfielder Pajtim Kasami, Christian Zock, Ermir Lenjani, Xavier Kouassi, Birama Ndoye, Mikael Facchinetti and ex- Newcastle loanee Seydou Doumbia, were all fired after failing to respond to a WhatsApp message from the club's president Christian Constantin or for openly rejecting the pay cut.
