Barcelona president Joan Laporta claims the European Super League is "still alive".The ailing La Liga giants are one of only three clubs not to disavow the widely derided breakaway competition after its attempted launch spectacularly collapsed in April this year.Real Madrid and Juventus are still actively pursuing the project, which would have involved 12 clubs forming their own continental tournament away from UEFA's Champions League.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Inter were the other nine teams involved in the venture.
