Erik ten Hag makes Sir Alex Ferguson rule change for Manchester United players

Erik ten Hag ordered all Manchester United players into training by 9am on Tuesday in a throwback to the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Although two groups of players arrived at 9.30am and 11.30am for the first day of pre-season on Monday, the Manchester Evening News understands all of the players reported before 9am this morning.

United players reported for training at 10am under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, whose management was described as "soft" by some dressing room sources.
