Manchester United want to keep Eric Ramsay as part of Erik ten Hag's backroom staff, despite the coach being on the shortlist to take over as Barnsley's next manager.
United are aware of the interest in the 30-year-old, who is considered one of the most promising young coaches in the game, but are keen to retain his services next season.
Ramsay was appointed as a coach focusing on set-pieces and technical skills a year ago and although there has been a churn in backroom staff over the last 12 months, United want to keep Ramsay to work with Ten Hag. Kieran McKenna was allowed to leave the club in December when he made his interest in taking over as Ipswich Town boss clear.
