It hasn't exactly been a barnstorming start to the summer transfer window for Manchester United. While Manchester City have already pulled off the deal of the window in signing Erling Haaland, Aston Villa have made four deals, Liverpool have brought in a hot prospect and Spurs have recruited an experienced and quality head, United are yet to make a single move.

Two weeks have passed since their worst ever season came to a thankful end and the chatter is growing worryingly quiet on every front.

It's hardly surprising that United haven't been ready to splash the cash from the word go when there has been so much shifting and changing in key roles.

Erik ten Hag has only just arrived, Ralf Rangnick left completely, Andy O'Boyle has been appointed as deputy football director and there have been plenty of behind-the-scenes departures.
