Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Entertainment world reacts to shooting at Donald Trump rally

50 Cent, M.I.A., Kid Rock, and Freddie Gibbs, among others – have reacted to a shooting at a Donald Trump political rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday (July 13).A man – who has been identified by the FBI as Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania – is suspected of firing rifle shots at the former president, with one bullet appearing to strike his ear.

The FBI have confirmed they are treating the incident as an assassination attempt.A spokesperson for the Secret Service, Anthony Guglielmi, said that the president was “safe”, while one spectator at the rally was killed and two others were critically wounded.

Crooks was fatally shot by Secret Service agents.In a statement, Trump said he was “fine” after a bullet hit him in “the upper part of [his] right ear”.

He thanked Secret Service agents and law enforcement officers for their “rapid response”.“Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the rally who was killed and also to the family of [those] badly injured,” he added. “It is incredible that such an act can take place in our country.”Several high profile figures in the entertainment world have shared their reactions to the news on social media.50 Cent posted a clip of his song ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ along with a photograph of Trump standing with his fist in the air and blood splattered across his face. “I know the vibes,” the rapper wrote.
