Vernon Kay was visibly moved during a poignant moment on Friday (November 15) night's Children In Need, telling Paddy McGuinness, "Don't look at me," as he struggled to contain his emotions.

The nation watched as the BBC fundraising event brought together hosts Mel Giedroyc, Rochelle Humes, Ade Adepitan, Lenny Rush, and Chris Ramsey for an evening of entertainment and charity.

The emotional high point came when Vernon reunited with his good friend Paddy, aged 51, who had just completed a gruelling Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge.

Paddy cycled an incredible 300 miles from Wrexham AFC to Glasgow on a Raleigh Chopper, testing his limits for a good cause. Upon finishing his journey from Wales to Scotland, Paddy was met with apologies as he took to the stage.
